Often times there is a deadline involved when creating a blog post. Our Media Team has learned how to work together to create content in a timely manner. This post involved five other students in the media creation process: four images were cut out with the magnetic lasso in Photoshop by several design students and a journalism student selected the text and gradient template.
In addition, several students had recorded content before we decided we needed to stick with a static image to make the event post deadline. So the coach's image was actually taken from recorded media. Due to a comp day and a teacher workday, I completed the post, assembling the final product that was posted for the event. Typically, I would not have combined cut outs with a full action image, but the theme of the post allowed for this combination of a competition photo and stills of the remainder of the team (rather than a stock image. In addition, I added the ball graphic, hill and zig zag art to complete the layout.
